Erma says of this gorgeous wall hanging she embroidered on her Viking Designer SE for her husband's birthday... "The blue and gold macaws are the birds he has currently. In the past we have had Cockatoo's and a pair of Eclectus. Our birds look exactly like the embroidery. Who ever created the designs did a beautiful job. He would love to someday have a Hyacinth Macaw, but just isn't in our budget and probably never will be since we are now retired. And I put in the eagle just because he loves eagles. In the background I used the sheer floral leather design because I wanted something delicate and did it all in one color. I did the embroidery on cream colored faux suede and it sewed out beautifully. I have had many very nice compliments on it and everyone likes the tail of the Hyacinth coming off the bottom." I also love how the tail of the Hyacinth breaks the frame of the wall hanging. Wonderful work, Erma! I can see how your husband loves this. It is stunning.
