Sue has an Elna 8600 machine and she made this gorgeous quilt with a variety of sketch-style fish designs.

She writes, "I find it is difficult to find designs suitable for males, but just loved the fish sketches. I have used them for a birthday quilt for my partner, Glenn, who loves to fish. I changed the thread colours to match the patterned denim I used at sashing the corners and borders."

Sue mentioned that her quilt is based on the "Big Blocks" design by Dee Yetter. "I modified it to suit the scale of the embroidery done in 5 x 7. The denim border is stitched with Mola Geometric Quilting Border (E8626) and I had planned to use Mola Geometric Quilting Corner (Single Run) E8633 in the denim corners. Alas my machine struggled with the large volume of fabric and batting so instead only stitched in the ditch around the blocks. Hope you enjoy."
