Dressing Up the Kitchen

** registered as [email protected] ** I've never sent in pictures of my work before but a recent project of yours really got to me and I fell in love with the results! Although a Minneapolis native, I have lived in a Chicago suburb for 10 years and for the past 3 years my mom and I meet in the Dells every summer for a craft weekend. We each bring a friend with and we spend three days crafting and eating. We also exchange a little gift to eachother showcasing our talents or just a fun project we found. This year I am giving them the handtowel dress that was recently featured on your site. Instead of sewing the pocket on the dress top, I decided to stitch an applique design that matched the tea towel theme. It was my first time using my embroidery machine to do an applique design and I think I am hooked now! The blue dress is extra special because I bought the tea towel during a recent vacation I was on with my mom in Boston. So this is a souvenir for her from our trip. The apple, lemon and seashell appliques were all from the Embroidery Library site. Thanks so much for the great idea and awesome instructions!
