How many times have you spilled on a favorite garment, and ruefully resigned it to the back of the closet when the stain didn't come out? Stitcher Shirley did that, too, but then came up with a creative solution! She says, "I have had this pretty pink cardigan for many years but only wore it once or twice before I managed to ruin it by spilling something right down the front of it! I saved it in my closet hoping that somehow I might be able to get the stain out, but after trying many different products had no luck. I was ready to throw it out and then had a revelation: just cover it with embroidery! This is the first time I've embroidered on this type of knit; but using a cut away stabilizer on the back and water soluble on the front, it worked like a charm. Now I can enjoy my sweater again, but this time much more fashionably!" Way to save a perfectly lovely sweater, and to make it even lovelier in the process!
