Honorary Quilts

Created By Wanda

Wanda tells the wonderful story behind these quilts... "Here are some photos of a quilt project my Aunt Barbara Loretta Burnett and my mother Grace McGhehey did for local veterans. They made just under 100 of these quilts and distributed them to veterans offices in Oregon and Washington as a tribute in memory of their spouses who were servicemen. I embroidered the center of each of the quilts for them and they did the rest. This act of charity is a tribute by the ladies who supported their servicemen. I sew on a Janome Memorycraft 11000." What a thoughtful, generous undertaking! These blankets are fabulous, and I'm sure they are appreciated so much, especially with the gratitude and sentiment behind them. Thank you for inspiring us today!
