Noah's Ark Promise Quilt

Created By Nancy

Nancy sent in photos of this quilt, and treated us to the very special story behind it:

She writes, "I just wanted to share my latest quilt with you. The quilt was so fun to work on. It was originally going to be done to give to my church so they could sell it in a silent auction to help raise funds for a mission trip. But unfortunately, I was unable to get it completed in time. It sat in my closet for a couple of years unfinished. Well, God has a plan for everything. We have a high school exchange student staying with us from Mexico. She was feeling bad around Christmas time because she wasn't home and she was missing her nephew's first Christmas. The quilt top came to mind and we pulled it out. I showed our student how to embroider her nephew's name and birth date on the quilt. She then quilted it and sent it on it's merry way down to Mexico. It was fun teaching her skills that she can use for a lifetime. So many of us enjoy our sewing and embroidering, but we couldn't do it without all of you guys. Your designs are so AWESOME. Thank you so much for all the beautiful designs you let us enjoy. What we do without our Embroidery Library family."

Nancy, this is a beautiful story! What a wonderful gift - not only the quilt, but sharing your knowledge and joy of sewing and embroidering with her. Thank you for sharing the photos and the inspiring story with us - we appreciate it very much!
