Pajama Party Tree Skirt
Created By Penny
I used 8 of the designs from EL from the animals in pajamas pack. I started stitching out these guys on white fabric, cause I didn't buy enough green or red. I actually like the way it turned out. I found a nice blanket type stitch on my Designer SE to act as the border to cover the raw edges. Originally I started to embroider these on my Designer 1 and did the attachment to the skirt panels on the DSE. At some point during my second day of sewing things seemed to be taking longer than the time I had allotted for this project and I thought this might be a good opportunity to try out my new machine and see how well it embroidered. I had just bought this machine and had not figured how to get designs to it. My lessons aren't until next weekend. Well, I got these two machines embroidering at the same time and could not believe how much faster that Ellie Elephant was coming together on the DSE. I did 2 more designs and got this project done in 2 days total. I have bought a lot of EL designs and learned very early on that it was not necessary to do test stitchouts! Your digitizers are amazing! I pretty much followed the project as described in the project section. The directions were very easy to understand.I used plain white and red and a green with a tree type design on it. For the backing I wanted it to be a little stiffer and used a heavy felt in green. I am slowly coming out of lurkdom want to show off some of the fun things I have made. Penny Designer 1 and SE
