Designs Used

Spray a piece of medium weight cutaway stabilizer with temporary adhesive, smooth the placemat on top, and embroidery the designs.
Next, fold the placemat in thirds widthwise (fold side edges inward) starting with the left side and then the right -- fold back the upper corners as you go allowing the designs to fully show. Pin in the folds in place and sew a 1/8" seam along the bottom edge only, working around the top fold.
Tack the top fold in place by hand stitching at the bottom and the side. Insert a napkin and silverware and you are ready to eat!
