Opening with Janome Horizonlink / Customizer
Opening Designs with Janome Customizer or HorizonLink |
Janome software programs include Customizer and HorizonLink. The steps below demonstrate how to open designs with these programs. Note that the programs will only open unzipped files, so ensure that the designs are not zipped. First, HorizonLink. Open HorizonLink, then click "File" and "Open." |
A pop-up box will appear. Use the navigation tools on that box to find the design on your computer. For example, I store designs in a folder on my desktop, and the folder name is Embroidery Library Designs. I directed the "Open" box to that folder, and you can see that below. |
Left-click on the design in the "Open" window to highlight it, then click the "Open" button. |
Next, Janome Customizer. Open Customizer. Click "File" and "Open." |
A pop-up box will appear. Use the navigation options on that box to go to the design on your computer. Highlight the design, and click the "Open" button. |
The design appears in the program. |
Some versions of Janome Customizer can only open designs that are 140 mm wide or smaller. To get around this limitation, import the design instead of open. Click the arrow to the right of the sunflower, and choose "import stitch file." That will allow you to open designs wider than 140 mm. |
