Audubon Owl Wall Hanging

Wow! Caroline sent in a photo of her stunning wall hanging, made with the Snowy Owl design.

She writes, "I am attaching a picture of my Snowy Owls! I left off the blue background and stitched the owls on a leafy background instead, wanting to give the illusion of the owls being up high in a tree somewhere."

That turned out great! John James Audubon drew the owls against a broody blue and grey night sky, but Caroline's interpretation brings a brighter, livelier look.

She adds, "We watched 2 baby owls being very carefully watched over by both parents this summer, and although they were not snowy owls, it is what prompted this picture. We frequently go for nature walks with our family and I have a feeling when my son-in-law sees the embroidery, my owls will be leaving with him!! I sewed this on my Brother PR650 and hope to do more of your beautiful Audubon designs."
