Kelly writes... "I was running out of time to make a Christmas dress for my toddler, and while had an idea of how I was going to make it fabric-wise, I was looking for the perfect design for the top. I used the A Lot Like Lace Poinsettias Border on black crushed panne. After stitching out a little too heavy the first time, I removed the lace parts leaving just the outlines, which worked great.Surprisingly, even though I have been embroidering for a few years, this is my first time using metallic thread; I'll definitely have to try some more in the future. Having finished the dress with time to spare, I decided to make a matching dress for her dolly." That's fabulous, Kelly! I love how you worked with the design to make it perfect for the dress.
