Carol knows that embroidered blankets are the best way to welcome a little one to the world.

She writes, "These are two blankets made for baby showers for a niece and nephew. The primary colored one was made last year, the pastel one this year. I am always amazed at what your designs do to make a project so unique." Carol has a Brother PE 770 machine.

The top quilt is teddy bear-themed, with the Heirloom Teddy Bear Quilt pack and the Bear in Snuggly Blanket Applique. The bottom blanket features designs from the Baby Applique Animals pack. Applique designs are a great way to incorporate favorite fabric prints and textures in quilts. For those that are new to applique embroidery, this tutorial and video will be excellent guides.
