Birds and Flowers Quilt

Created By Debra

Debra created this masterpiece full-sized quilt (from fabric scraps!) on a Janome 6500P, a Janome 350E, and a Janome mid-arm. She writes... "When my husband's 83 year old aunt put her deposit on an apartment in a senior living center, I thought she needed a bright cheerful quilt for her new home. She lives in PA and so on a dark snowy morning this quilt was delivered to her house. She took it with her to church for show and tell and all the ladies loved the birds stitched in yellow thread. I had the center square of fabric since the early 1990s and always loved the sketchy floral print. It was a drapery sample so when I decided to make the quilt, I looked through the Embroidery Library files for some redwork outlines in nature. As always, I was not disappointed with the Birds and the Flowers. They worked perfectly!" What a labor of love, and a work of art. Just fabulous, Debra! Thank you for sharing this thoughtful and lovely project with us.
