Boot Camp Stitches

Created By Priscilla

Priscilla used her embroidery talents to stay in touch with her son, who was in boot camp. She sent him cards and gifts she stitched to encourage him. She writes, "Our son entered the US Marines back in February and graduated from boot camp in May from San Diego, CA. During his 13 weeks of boot camp, letter writing was our only contact with him. I would embroider cards for him to encourage him and to help with his spirits. I stitched the dessert camoflauge heart on felt and then glued it to card stock. Part of his training was in the desert. He liked the card, thought it was neat. My Viking SE did a great job on this stitch out." What a great idea to send him embroidered cards. The bag is adorable, too. I'm sure these gifts of love were very welcome. Thank you for sharing them with us, Priscilla!
