Bright Screen Totes

Created By Toni
Toni made these delightful screen tote bags on her Melco Amaya XT, and writes... "These small totes (11 x 10) are made of fiberglass window screen, with ribbon handles. I used one layer of film type wash away stabilizer, and gently hooped the screen so it wouldn't stretch. These are great for collecting shells at the beach -- it doesn't matter if they get wet so you can dunk them or spray them with the hose to remove the sand. I love the bright colors! I live about two hours from the North Carolina coast, and these are popular at the local farmers market. Thanks for the great designs!" What an innovative project! These screen totes are fabulous. I can see how they would be perfect for the beach. Thanks for sharing this great idea with us, Toni. See the Fabrics 101 article about embroidering onto screen material for lots of tips. FAVORITE
