Saltbox houses are timeless and traditional embroidery designs - and the Christmas theme makes them a perfect fit for pillows and stockings.

Ruth has a Janome 350E, and she made this pillow for her stepdaughter. She used the Frohe Weihnachten Saltbox House (German) design, and embroidered it onto cream fabric. Then she found four different Christmas prints and strip-pieced them into an eye-catching border.
