Christmas Punch Quilts

Created By Roxanne
Roxanne treated us to photos of two quilts made with the Christmas Punch designs! She writes, "I began embroidering just one year ago. I was in business all my life and never had the time for hobbies. Having retired and finally having time on my hands, I purchased a machine and quickly began looking for patterns on the internet." She purchased a Brother Isadore 5000 to start her sewing and embroidery journey.
Roxanne told us that she'd never sewed a stitch in her life, or even had a Home Ec class. Can you believe it?
She continues, " I recently completed an elegant Christmas quilt using your medium-sized Christmas Punch designs along with two squares of FaLaLa filigree bells as well. I used 9" squares on a medium-weight broadcloth, attached batting and then backed it with a cranberry-colored washable velveteen (and wrapped the velveteen to the front, using it as binding. It is trimmed with a gold braid. I was SO impressed with its elegance (as opposed to 'craftiness') that I created a second one - done in teals/turquoise/silvers and grays - for my daughter-in-law's decor."
I can't decide which colorway I like more....they're both stunning!
Roxanne shared that each quilt took nearly 32 hours to complete, but they're "well worth the finished product!" I agree wholeheartedly!
Thank you, Roxanne, for sending the photos of your gorgeous work, and sharing a bit about yourself, too. We love hearing the stories, and the inspiration behind the embroidered works, too. Keep up the excellent work!
