Making Christmas gifts for family members is such a fun way to plan embroidery projects! Cathy made this attractive Christmas sweater as a birthday present for her aunt to wear at Christmas. She writes, "I took a plain gray sweatshirt and added green trim around the neck. I then cut off the band at the bottom and added green wide double-fold bias tape and red trim to accent the Celtic Christmas tree design." The band around the neck and hemline add elegance to an ordinary sweatshirt and the Celtic Christmas Tree design makes it very festive. What a creative and thoughtful gift, Cathy! We're sure your aunt didn't mind receiving a Christmas-themed gift for her May birthday when it came out this well.
