Custom Christmas Cards

Created By Faye

Faye and Rex live in Australia, and they've teamed up to make gorgeous Christmas cards.

Faye writes, "I thought you may like to see this batch my husband Rex did on the Brother Innovis for me to attach to cards. We intend to make double next year as we now have a collection of smaller patterns (4 inches by about 4 inches). No bigger though. This size and a bit smaller are ideal."

She shared details about how she made the cards. "I cut the windows out using my Big Shot and the largest of the scallop square dies. Stuck a small piece of invisible tape on the inside of the card to hold the die in place as they tend to shift when they're sandwiched between the plastic plates. We stitched the patterns onto a neutral background and then glued the patterns onto cardstock cut slightly smaller than the inside of the card so they overlapped the scallops but still glued to the small margins remaining and allowed the card to fold shut. This is a good way to use up thinner cardstock that can't be used for cards as it won't stand up on its own. We all get caught buying it."

These turned out so very well! Thank you for sending the photo, and sharing your tips with us, too. Your work is very inspiring!
