Penney created this magical wall hanging, then stitched the Magenta Filigree Fairy to inhabit it. She calls it the Secret Garden, and used silk flowers, fabric scraps for their stems, and bits of yarn, threads, and fabric for the "dirt." After embroidering the fairy, she covered the entire thing with black tulle and started quilting. The final touch came when she added small bobbles and pearls to the center of each flower.
