Katie delighted us with a photo of her baby blanket, that tells a story about the members of the new baby's family.

She writes, "I made this for a friend's new baby. We knew the baby was going to be a boy and the father and his family are a family that flies; the new daddy flew for the Air Force in Iraq and Afganastan. The grandpa flies a beautiful plane called an N3N. It was a trainer plane in WWII and flown by the first President Bush. That plane is yellow with red markings. The new mom wanted to have more than an aircraft theme so she started decorating in an ocean and whale theme. My dilemma was how to mix the two themes. So we have the sky on top, the middle is sky and top of the ocean, and the bottom is the ocean."

Isn't that so very clever? Her use of different colors of fabrics helps transition the eye from sky to water. This is absolutely wonderful, Katie! Thank you for sending the photo!
