Fish Lovers Quilt

Created By Terry

Terry sent in a photo of a gorgeous quilt that she made - and a really lovely story, too.

She writes, "As a retirement gift to myself, I recently purchased a Husqvarna Diamond Deluxe to keep myself busy. I wanted to try my hand at a 'perspective window' quilt, but I'm thinking I should have started off with something a little easier. It was quite difficult and sure is far from perfect but I did learn a lot. I made this fishing quilt for friends we have in Saskatchewan where we go fishing every summer. I'm hoping they overlook the imperfections and enjoy it as much as I did putting it together."

It looks near-perfect to me, Terry - but there's a story about a "Humility Block" emerging from Amish folklore that has a moral of "no quilt should be perfect" And besides, all quilts that are made with love are perfect gifts. I think your window quilt has all the makings of something truly wonderful, and I'm delighted that you shared it with us. Thank you!
