Flower Children Rag Quilt
Created By Amy
Amy sent in photos of the sweetest quilt she made! She writes, "I just finished another project and thought I would send it along for you to see. I am so pleased. It was the fabric that inspired me. When I sawthis flannel I wanted to buy it but was not sure what I would make. I passed it up several times but kept coming back."
It was just waiting for you to figure out what to do with it, Amy!
She continues, "I had made rag quilts in the past. When I started looking for designs , I first found these beautiful Flower Children: Daisy, Leif, Poppy, and Lily. How I wish you would make a few more. They are so adorable. Then I started looking for flower designs that would match the floral fabric."
Amy found several flower designs that would fit perfectly with her theme, and those are shown below. She used her trusty Janome 350E to make this quilt.
She adds, "So bright and cheerful. Now, I am not sure what to do with it. I have told certain people that someone needs to have me a granddaughter. But I think I may go back to making rag quilts. They certainly are fun and so cute."
Amy, this is so sweet and cozy. You did an excellent job of matching up the fabric and designs! I think it's great that the fabric "called" to you - I think that many of us can relate to that. Beautifully done!
