Eva delighted us with photos of her wonderful, wintry table setting - and she shared an excellent story about taking something damaged, and making it beautiful again.

She writes, "I love how using embroidery can make it possible to salvage something we would usually have to throw away. I had these 6 placemats but the corner of one unraveled the first time I laundered them. By making the snowman patches and sewing them on all six, no one will know I hadn't planned to do this!! I did this on my Designer Diamond Deluxe."

Excellent save, Eva - and these placemats look great! She embroidered onto fabric and fringed the edges, and that fringe is a nice match to the fringe on the placemats, too. Beautiful work!
