Fahy in Australia stitched this lovely and inspirational quilt for her niece, who was recovering from a serious illness. She says, "I wanted to make a soft, snuggle rug, so I made it using flannel in gentle colours, and I used wool batting, so the quilt is quite light, yet soft and warm. The designs that I used are the Vintage Jacobean Floral Design Pack, and the Vintage Jacobean Wings 'n' Things. I did the embroidery for this quilt on my new Janome MB4 machine. This is a change from the usual rag type flannel quilts that I have made , as I just did not want any excess fibres or fluff with this quilt." It is a beautiful quilt, Fahy, and I'm sure your niece appreciated it very much. The colors are so pretty and the messages very hopeful. Thank you for sharing this loving project with us!
