Peach Festival Quilt
Created By JoniSue
Joni Sue had a log cabin quilt top she made for 15 years, and then it was put away. It turned out to be quite useful as she and her Viking Designer SE ended up embroidering it and giving it to her neighbor's church to use in their Peach Festival. She writes . . . "When I saw Embroidery Librarys Flowers of the Bible Designs I decided they were just the ticket for making the quilt top come to life! On every other white section of the log cabin quilt I stitched one of the flower designs with the Bible verse and the colors just popped on the white on white background and complemented the peach and blue fabrics in the quilt. I was very pleased with the finished result and completed the quilt and donated it to the church for a raffle. This got an old quilt top out of my sewing drawers stash and to a new home and made some money for the church! A win win win!" Just after completing this one, she immediately started thinking of what she wants to create for the next Peach Festival! What a generous and beautiful project! Thanks for sharing, Joni Sue!
