Reversible Sweatshirt Jacket

Created By Bev

I made this reversible sweatshirt jacket for my mom for Christmas. It is made from 2 regular sweatshirts that are converted for the jacket. Since I need to cut off all of the ribbing on both sweatshirts, I used the black ribbing for the trim on the red sweatshirt (it is cut 1" wide and I used pinking shears to give it a pinked edge). I used the Intricate Ink Roses pack on the red side including a rose spray on the back and the Spring Flower Border (Redwork) and Corner for the black side. I used one of the decorative stitches on my Baby Lock machine on the black side for a decorative trim. I made my own bias fabric for finishing the edges just like you do for a quilt. I also made fabric covered buttons and fabric loops to button the jacket.
