Ring Bearer's Pillow

Created By Gail

Gail made this stunning pillow for her son's wedding!

She writes, "I thought you might like to see the ring bearer pillow that I made for my son's wedding last Saturday. I embroidered the designs on a Janome 300E. The free standing lace heart is one of your designs. The lettering is from my Customizer program, and I can't remember where the love birds came from (sorry). I made the ribbon roses myself and it was my first attempt at doing that!"

Oh my - this is beautiful, Gail! She used the Victorian Heart lace design, embroidered in white to match the fabric. For those that are new to embroidering lace, this tutorial and video will be an excellent guide.

When adding lace to fabric, you can either embroider the design directly onto the fabric (use cutaway stabilizer on the back of the fabric), or embroider the design as a freestanding piece, then sew the lace piece onto the fabric.

Gail made us laugh with her next comment. "The ring bearer who was all boy wouldn't carry such a frou-frou object so they strapped a soccer ball under the pillow and he held on to that!"

The pillow is extraordinary, Gail. Thank you for sending the photo and inspiring us with your work!
