Joan made a beautiful gift for very special friends.

She writes, "I made these wall hangings for Japanese friends who are very kind to me. They have this wonderful little restaurant in the small town of Lindsay, Ontario, where I make a point of going to every Saturday. They have the most delicious food, especially their sushi, which I never seem to tire off. Being an elderly lady of 86 they look out for me and help out to my car when my arthritis is bothering me. I made these for their restaurant in appreciation of their kindness to me. I really enjoy sewing your designs, I must have hundreds of them, but I keep on buying! I make my grandchildren P.J.'S every Christmas and they love to have the embroidery on them. Thank you."
