Just wanted to share my latest project with you using 'Quebec Snowy Owl and Blue Flag Iris Medley' design. I had a simple black quilted vest that I thought would be perfect to embellish-this design really pops on the black. I hooped the vest that had been backed with an iron on cutaway stabilizer and had an additional tear away stabilizer underneath the hoop. An additional layer of clear Solvy stabilizer was also added on the top of the vest before the embroidery began. I added this because I could see the stitches had a tendency to want to sink into the fabric. Once the embroidery was completed, the tear way was torn away from the back, the cut away neatly trimmed,and the clear Solvy . There were only a couple of small pieces of Solvy left on top, which I was able to dab away with a spray bottle and towel. The vest went from functional to WOW! Thanks for your great designs!
