Lynda used the Flight of Filigree designs to add a spectacular look to this robe.

She writes, "I changed the colors to suit, and stitched away. Because the robe is a waffle weave, I used a cutaway stabilizer underneath and a water soluble on top. The designs stitched smoothly and transformed a plain robe into something very special."

Beautifully done, Lynda! Cutaway stabilizer is a great foundation for stretchy waffle weave, and the topping helps to keep the stitches in the design from sinking down into the texture of the weave. For those that are new to embroidering on waffle weave fabrics, this project and video are excellent guides.
