Sparkling Angel

Created By Darren

We love to see what stitchers create with our designs, and how they add their own special touches to projects. Darren says, "I loved the second lace angel design you offered in December and decided to make one on my Janome MB-4. I also liked the white thread idea, but decided to use Robison-Anton thread, Iris (J metallic) #1014. The results were very rewarding, despite a few thread breaks which I expected, using metallic thread. The angel is thicker (I also made a regular one) and needs much less starching. I didn't rinse the stabilizer out quite as much and it is plenty stiff by itself with no starch. I have attached a photo of it, but the iridescent qualities are not apparent in the photo. Thanks for another great design!" This angel is truly stunning! I'm sure the sparkle from the metallic thread on the Victorian Angel Tree Topper is even more impressive in real lifel Great job, Darren. Thank you for sharing your work with us today!
