Sweet Dreams Quilts

Created By Irene
Irene has a Janome 300E and she made two quilts for her previous granddaughters! She writes, "My two granddaughters are almost 3 and 6 years old. My daughter and I chose the fabric colors and found a cute print at Hobby Lobby that was beautiful."
Irene selected a wide variety of princess and fairy tale designs, which you can see by scrolling down the page. She continues, "I cut out the squares or rectangles and embroidered the designs, then I placed them and stitched the top quilt together. I made one for each of our grand-girls and put their name inside the heart using Embird. We bought the nice quilt batting and backing and took to our favorite quilting shop, Country Crossroads in Orange Park, Florida. There our friend, Bob, quilted them both very beautifully and then I took them home and finished the edges. I also made lined draperies to match the print in the quilt for their windows and bed pillows with their princess (their hair and eye color) embroidered on the front. They are enjoying them. They love the embroideries and I enjoyed making them."
These are labors of love, Irene, and I'm so glad that you and your daughter worked together to make something special for the girls. These are quilts that will give them the sweetest of dreams. Beautifully done!
