- Medium weight cutaway stabilizer
- Temporary spray adhesive
- Stiff wire brush

Designs Used

First, apply a light coat of spray adhesive to your stabilizer and carefully place your fabric on top. Be sure to avoid bubbling and bunching of the fabric by gently smoothing the fabric from the center outward.

Hoop both the fabric and stabilizer, securing it tightly in an embroidery frame. Attach the hoop to the machine and load the design file.

Before stitching, loosen the top thread tension on your embroidery machine.

Use a 100/16 sharp sewing needle to accommodate the thick thread.

Embroider the design. Remember, similar colors will blend together best.

Keep an eye on the color change sheet. Before sewing with the rayon thread, remove the hoop from the machine but do not remove the fabric from the hoop.

Use a stiff wire brush to create the "furry" texture of the design. Madeira makes a Lana Hard Brush specifically for this purpose, but any stiff brush will do. For this design, it is best to brush in a downward motion, following the direction of the fur.

Once you have finished brushing the design, return the hoop to your machine and continue sewing with the rayon thread.

After the design has completed sewing, remove the design from the machine and embroidery hoop.

Use a lint roller to remove loose fibers from the fabric.

Now that you are done, this fuzzy pet is ready to be displayed. Let this unique stitching style create a soft effect on throw pillows and more!
