Opening Designs with Wilcom's TrueSizer

Wilcom's TrueSizer is a free software program that you can use to open designs on your computer, print templates, mirror, and rotate.

To open a design, follow these steps. Begin by opening the software. Then, click "File," and "Open."

A pop-up box will appear. Use the navigation tools on that box to find the design on your computer. For example, I store designs in a folder on my desktop, and the folder name is Embroidery Library Designs.

I directed the "open" box to that folder, and you can see that below.

The "files of type" may default to "emb." Use the drop-down box to change that selection to "all design files."

Left-click on the design in the "open" window to highlight it, then click the "open" button.

Now the design is in the "work area." You can rotate it, print a template, and mirror the design as well. It's a very basic software program, but it is free.

The Wilcom software can open many different file types. But it can't open a zipped file. If you try to open a zipped file, you'll get this:

Unzip designs before attempting to open designs with the software, and everything should work fine. Click here for instructions on unzipping files.
